More Variety of Foods or Less?

Typical human behavior and eating habits are to eat the same things over and over again. Think about what you eat for breakfast. I guarantee you eat the same 2 or 3 things each morning with very little variety. This is very common and the way humans prefer to eat, rather than a risk of something new. We find comfort in habit, taste and predictability. So, we structure the plans to be a seven day rotation for this reason. The 7 days provides 3 to 4 variations of breakfasts, snacks and other meals and teaches new habits. Each week they can pick and choose what days and meals are their favorites. Eventually it teaches them new habits that are healthier. If they get board or don’t like the foods, then can exchange them using the mobile app of web account. Or, you can assign a new meal plan.

Another advantage is a lower grocery bill beginning week two. There will most likely be foods left over from week one that can be used in week two. This prevents waste. If you give a new eating plan each week to your clients there would be much left over foods that will parish, and you will lose customer satisfaction.

Just FYI… most dietitians working in a clinical setting only provide 1,2 or 3 days of plans! Very strict! So in summary “Variety is not the spice in life” when it comes to weight loss!
